Built as the direct successor to the Big Ben, this 24 x 2.00" tyre combines reflective sidewalls for enhanced visibility with sustainable manufacturing practices that reflect Schwalbe's commitment to the planet.
Positioned as the evolution between two iconic models, the Motion Big Apple bridges the legacy of the Big Ben with the innovation that defines the Big Apple line, offering riders a refined choice that honours Schwalbe's heritage whilst embracing modern performance standards.
The environmental friendliness of the tyre:
- Addix Green: Schwalbe’s most environmentally friendly rubber compound with consistent performance, containing 80% renewable raw materials and recycled materials.
- Among other things, it uses 100% recycled carbon black (recovered Carbon Black, rCB) from Schwalbe’s tire recycling.
- Made 100% from fair-trade natural rubber.
Comfort and cushioning
The Schwalbe Motion Big Apple delivers a smooth and comfortable ride by absorbing road vibrations with lower air pressure. It glides efficiently on paved roads while also handling gravel and forest trails with ease. Its high-volume design provides excellent shock absorption without the need for complex suspension systems. The tread pattern combines functionality with contemporary styling, complemented by distinctive sidewall detailing.
Intended use
The Motion Big Apple is designed for touring and urban e-bikes, as well as traditional trekking and city bicycles. It is ideal for daily commuting, leisure rides, and longer cycling trips. It also works well on children’s and youth bikes, along with lightweight non-motorised cargo bikes.
