THE FLAT-LESS TYRE FOR WHEELCHAIRS
The Marathon has earned a reputation as the leading choice for puncture-resistant pneumatic tires on wheelchairs. Its Smart Guard protection belt is made from a percentage of recycled natural rubber, while the "anti-ageing" sidewall construction is designed to withstand common overloading due to low inflation pressure for extended periods of time. Additionally, a new extra-wide and ultra-comfortable size of 28 x 559mm is now offered.
FLAT-LESS. SmartGuard puncture protected wheelchair tyres combine the comfort and light running of pneumatic tires with the puncture protection of PU tyres.
2GRIP. Hand-friendly tyres. The side walls are completely smooth, so the tyres glide silkily past the hands. Patent protected and standard on all Schwalbe wheelchair tyres.
BLACK ‘N‘ ROLL. Wheelchairs with black tyres? Schwalbe has made it possible. We developed a special Black’n Roll compound that does not leave unsightly marks on indoor floors. Additionally it is far more robust and much longer lasting.
Note: Use a pressure gauge to adjust tire pressures as the common ‘thumb check’ is insufficient due to the special construction of the Marathon Plus.
