The EN Carbon Rail (CRB) seat-post must meet specific criteria for optimal saddle support: 1. It should enable accurate saddle positioning (see fig.1). 2. Avoid sharp edges that could weaken the frame by cutting (see fig.2). 3. The jaws must match the external shape of the saddle frame to ensure broad contact (see fig.3). 4. The contact area between seat-post and saddle frame must be at least 8cm². 5. Jaws should engage the frame over a minimum length of 32mm (fig.3). 6. Coupling surfaces need to be symmetrical and parallel (fig.4). 7. Jaws must not deform or damage the saddle frame. 8. For lateral clamp seat-posts, use jaws designed to fit a 7.0x9.0mm carbon fiber saddle frame (fig.5).
