SRAM's chain engineers developed the PowerLock 10-Speed as a sure, consistent way to join their 10-speed chains with no special tools. It's the product of SRAM's long history of tough, lightweight chain engineering and wears a black oxide finish.
One thing to know: 10-speed drivetrains run especially tight tolerances, so each link is good for one installation only. Fit a fresh one every time you rejoin a chain, which is exactly why a box of 50 makes sense.
