The SRAM X5 trigger carries on the legacy of X0 shifting, and this one looks after the rear derailleur on a 9-speed drivetrain. It's sold as the rear shifter only, in a straightforward trigger format, and it isn't MatchMaker compatible.
Nine gears, one thumb and nothing fancy getting in the way of the ride: sometimes that's exactly what a bike needs, and X5 delivers it.
