Tannus Armour is a foam insert featuring a patented, lightweight multi-cell foam compound known as Aither. This compound offers unparalleled flexibility and durability.
The Tannus Armour offers 15mm of puncture protection on the top and 2mm of sidewall protection, shielding against sharp objects and rocks. Its cushioning effect also prevents the inner tube from making contact with the rim during impact, eliminating the risk of pinch flats. Furthermore, the Armour provides extra defense against hard impacts, while its sidewall support prevents the tire from buckling in high-speed turns. With this added support, tire pressure can be reduced significantly, ranging from 15-20 PSI for MTB rides to 25-30 PSI for City/Commuter/Gravel/Touring terrains.
The installation process for the Armour is just as effortless as that of a standard tire, and it requires no additional maintenance.
