Tannus Armour utilizes Aither, a patented multi-cell foam compound, to create a lightweight, flexible, and remarkably durable foam insert.
The Tannus Armour offers 15mm of puncture protection on the top and 2mm of sidewall protection from sharp objects and rocks. By sitting firmly between your tire and inner tube, it prevents contact between the tube and rim, preventing pinch flats. Additionally, it provides extra protection for your rims during intense impacts.
The Tannus Armour provides excellent sidewall support to prevent tyre buckling when taking sharp turns at high speeds. As a result, you can safely lower your tyre pressure compared to a standard tubeless set-up. For City/Commuter/Gravel/Touring, recommended pressure is between 25-30 PSI and for MTB, it is between 15-20 PSI. Installing the Armour is a simple and fast process, similar to installing a regular tyre, and requires no maintenance.
