The PowerBlock is a top-tier BMX racing tyre engineered to maximize the transfer of pedal power and rider input into forward momentum, ensuring faster rides with minimal energy loss. Featuring a steel bead and reinforced sidewall, it balances durability and performance. Its unique sidewall texture enhances abrasion resistance while maintaining flexibility. The tyre’s distinctive three-stage tread pattern, refined through an 18-month rigorous development process and validated by elite fast2 racers globally, sets it apart in both function and value.

KEY FEATURES

The outer knobs : The outer knobs, measuring about half the length of the transition knobs, are engineered to provide optimal compression and traction when leaning beyond 25 degrees. While usually unnecessary in a clean race, these knobs deliver crucial grip during challenging conditions, ensuring stability and control during aggressive turns and maneuvers to help you maintain speed and cross the finish line ahead.

The centre row "Power Block" : When accelerating, the rear tyre’s center tread zone absorbs heavy pedaling torque. If the center knobs are too small or tall, they flex excessively and cling to the ground longer, wasting energy by creating unnecessary traction. Conversely, knobs that are too large or short can cause the tyre to slip under high torque before regaining grip, slowing you down. The PowerBlock’s center knobs are precisely sized and balanced to manage torque efficiently, minimizing slip while maintaining low rolling resistance once in motion.

The transition knobs : The transition knobs, significantly smaller yet precisely proportioned to the center blocks, are engineered to slightly deform at lean angles exceeding 15 degrees. This deformation, or compression, allows the rubber to grip the ground, enhancing traction. Positioned at a 45-degree angle to the center knobs, they support maintaining forward momentum during lateral transitions and cornering.
