TOKEN’s 878 external bottom bracket is a high-quality component designed to work with Shimano and SRAM GXP cranksets (with the use of adapters). It’s built with precision to deliver long-lasting durability, smooth performance, and a sleek appearance.
The design positions the bearings directly on the crank axle, ensuring a straighter load distribution. This helps extend the lifespan of the bottom bracket while allowing tighter tolerances for smoother rotation and reduced friction. The 878 is available with either ultra-smooth TBT bearings or Premium bearings.
For enhanced durability and minimal maintenance, it features TOKEN’s patented X-Seals, which effectively protect the bearings from water, dirt, and debris—especially in harsh riding conditions. Multiple small seals reduce friction while improving protection. The bearings are precision-made and filled with waterproof grease, and oversized bearings add extra strength, making them suitable for demanding mountain bike use.
