Enduro Bearings innovated MAX type bearings for bicycles more than 20 years ago to tackle challenges related to mountain bike pivots. MAX bearings offer 35-40% higher load capacity than standard radial bearings by integrating a special design inserting the maximum number of balls (full-complement) into the bearing using custom ground slots in the races. These bearings have deeper race grooves, providing enhanced lateral support to counteract twisting and multi-directional forces associated with mountain bike pivots.

This ABEC-3 bearing showcases deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, ensuring maximum protection against environmental elements while preserving a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease. The double-row design significantly minimizes flex within the suspension linkage while effectively doubling the bearing contact area.

Notably, Pivot and Santa Cruz bikes have utilized this bearing as a suspension pivot bearing.
