S6900 LLB - Stainless Steel Radial Bearing (C3 clearance) - 10 x 22 x 6mm -
This radial bearing contains stainless steel alloy races and Grade 10 balls with dual-seals, 90% fill, and Mobil XHP 222 high pressure water proof grease for durability against daily wear and tear and environmental factors. It is commonly used in lightweight hubs and pedals.
Not all stainless steel is created equal.
Enduro chooses to exclusively utilize 440C stainless steel balls and races, providing exceptional durability and unparalleled resistance to corrosion in unfavorable environments. 440C boasts the highest levels of strength, hardness, and wear resistance among all standard 440-series stainless alloys with high levels of carbon. As a result, it is the most costly of the 440 series alloys and requires multiple rounds of heat and cryogenic treatment to achieve its exceptional mechanical properties. Despite having a 20% lower load capacity and being slightly softer than our typical 52100 chromium steel used in most bearings, stainless steel is a superb alternative for use in wet conditions, frequent bike washing, or areas where sweat may be a concern.
The Enduro line offers various options, including high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. Our bearings are designed with larger grooves to fit the largest balls and feature dual-lip seals within a micro-groove that forms a complete labyrinth, offering exceptional defense against the elements.
