Nearly two decades ago, Enduro Bearings introduced MAX-type bearings to tackle the challenges associated with mountain bike pivots. These specialized MAX-type bearings offer 35-40% higher load capacity than standard radial bearings. Achieving this capacity is attributed to a unique design incorporating a custom ground slot in the races to house the maximum number of balls. The added balls, in conjunction with deep race grooves, offer increased lateral support to counteract the twisting and multi-directional forces encountered in mountain bike pivots.

This specific MAX-type bearing by Enduro boasts a Black-Oxide, ABEC-3 construction, with deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals. These features ensure maximal protection against the elements while retaining a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease.

Several leading bicycle brands, such as Orbea and Niner, have utilized this bearing as a suspension pivot in their designs.

Enduro's line of bearings comprises high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. Every bearing is meticulously designed with the deepest groove races possible to accommodate the largest balls available.
