Over two decades ago, Enduro Bearings introduced the pioneering MAX-type bearings crafted for bicycles, particularly aimed at resolving the issues associated with mountain bike pivots. MAX-type bearings offer an impressive 35-40% increase in load capacity compared to conventional radial bearings. Achieving this higher load capacity involves a specialized design that maximizes the number of balls within the bearing through a custom ground slot in the races. By incorporating additional balls and deep race grooves, these bearings deliver enhanced lateral support, effectively managing the twisting and multi-directional forces inherent in mountain bike pivots.

This ABEC-3 bearing boasts deep-groove design races coupled with Grade 10 balls, complemented by full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, ensuring top-notch protection against external elements. This bearing retains a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease, ensuring optimal functionality.

Several bicycle brands, including Rocky Mountain, have utilized this bearing as a suspension pivot bearing.
