The ideal choice for rims with an internal width of 31-33mm, Stan’s 33mm Rim Tape comes highly recommended.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

This tape is specifically made for tubeless-ready wheels and is suitable for tires with inflation pressures of 45psi or less. A single layer of tape over the spoke holes is sufficient, but for tires requiring higher pressures, a double layer is necessary.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN OLDER RIM?

Stan’s NoTubes has become the industry standard for tubeless bicycle technology with their BST (Bead Socket Technology). However, for older, non-tubeless-ready rims, simply using their Yellow Rim Tape will not suffice for a secure tubeless setup. In these cases, a discontinued Stan’s Rim Strip is necessary. We recommend considering upgrading to a tubeless-ready wheelset, but if needed, Stan’s Rim Strips or kits may still be available at local bike shops for converting vintage bikes. Using only Yellow Rim Tape and Stan’s NoTubes sealant on a non-tubeless-ready rim may cause issues with inflation and “burping”. Although the Rim Strips have been discontinued, we still offer guidance for converting non-tubeless-ready wheels.
