Are Specialized eBikes worth the money?

Are Specialized eBikes worth the money?

Kenji Shimizu |

We think so! The Californian-designed Swiss-engineered bikes are world-leaders with tech and design and we’re happy to announce Crooze is now an official retailer of Specialized Turbo eBikes. Read on to find out why they’re worth the price tag.

Specialized eBikes: It's you, only faster

One of the most innovative eBike brands in the world, Specialized is driven by an obsessive commitment to deliver natural, nimble experiences for every rider.

“We wanted you to feel like you were on a “regular” bike, but somehow, you’d grown superhero legs. This core mission still hasn’t changed. It’s now, and forever will be, our promise for every Turbo E-Bike: It’s You, Only Faster.”

Since launching their first Turbo in 2009 their functional and technically advanced eBikes (Levo, Creo, and Valdo) have continually raised the bar for all bike manufacturers. Covering mountain, road, and commuter models, the Turbo line is a testament to Specialized’s commitment to “innovate or die” - engineering eBikes with superior integration, handling and connectivity.

Californian-Designed, Swiss-Engineered

Turbo refers to Specialized’s electric bike technology system. They shunned off-the-shelf motors and batteries instead developing their cutting edge tech in e-Bike-obsessed Cham, Switzerland, and then tuning the ride at their Morgan Hill, California headquarters. The result? Smooth, powerful, and silent pedal-assistance; maximum range, and superior connectivity solutions.

The Specialized eBike Turbo range – Learn How To Ride Again

From grinding gravel and epic commutes to boosting fitness and rowdy descents the Turbo range of mountain, road, and commuter “active” eBikes has every riding style and reason checked.

  • Turbo Creo: Road and gravel eBikes
  • Turbo Valdo and Turbo Como: Active / commuter eBikes
  • Turbo Levo and Turbo Kenevo: Mountain eBikes

eBikes in each Turbo category have 2 different levels of “rider performance amplification”

  • “2x You” - The SL (Super Lightweight) model. Lightest with longer range.
  • “4 x You” the regular model. Heavier with shorter range.

They also come in 3 weight categories:

  • S-Works (lightest)
  • Expert (mid range)
  • Comp (heaviest)

Let’s take a closer look at the Specialized Turbo range of mountain, road and commuter eBikes now available in-store at Crooze.
