The Super Record™ 12X2 Speed mechanical front derailleur incorporates several innovative technologies to enhance performance. It employs leverage systems aimed at expediting gear shifts, reducing the effort required for shifting by utilizing a split front connecting rod that avoids contact with the travel limit screw. Simultaneously, the inner cage plate's design ensures optimal readiness for upshifting. The external monolithic carbon fibre body is shaped to improve chain movement efficiency during uphill climbs and enhance readiness and smoothness during descents.
This component maintains visual consistency with the overall Super Record groupset by utilizing unidirectional carbon fibre and titanium stop screws. Micro-adjustments to the front derailleur position, controllable via the controls, actively prevent chain contact, even during maximum crossover situations. In terms of compatibility, the new Super Record™ 12X2 Speed front derailleur accommodates hoods up to 32 mm, facilitated by the updated upper connector rod and the dual fixing positions of the control cable.
