608 LLU MAX-EE MAX-Design, Extended Inner Race, ABEC-3, Radial Suspension Bearing (CN Clearance) - 8 x 22 x 7/10mm (1mm/2mm)
Over two decades ago, Enduro Bearings revolutionized the cycling industry with their pioneering MAX-type bearings, specifically tailored to address the challenges associated with mountain bike pivots. These MAX-type bearings deliver an exceptional 35-40% increase in load capacity compared to standard radial bearings. This achievement is made possible through a unique design where the bearing maximizes the number of balls inserted into its structure, utilizing a custom ground slot within the races. The incorporation of additional balls and deep race grooves significantly enhances lateral support, effectively countering the twisting and multi-directional forces commonly experienced in mountain bike pivots.
Engineered to ABEC-3 standards, this bearing showcases deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, ensuring optimal protection against environmental elements. The bearing retains 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease. Notably, this bearing features a double-extended inner race, eliminating the requirement for extra spacers in connecting suspension linkages.
Primarily intended as a suspension pivot bearing, this bearing is a crucial component in such systems.
The Enduro line-up offers an array of bearings available in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 variants with ceramic or stainless balls. Each bearing is meticulously engineered with the deepest groove races possible, accommodating larger balls and incorporating dual-lip seals that navigate micro-grooves to form a complete labyrinth, ensuring superior protection against environmental elements.
