626 LLU MAX BO - MAX-Design, Black-Oxide, ABEC-3, Radial Suspension Bearing - 16 x 19 x 6mm
Almost two decades ago, Enduro Bearings led the way in introducing MAX-type bearings specifically tailored for bicycles, addressing the challenges associated with mountain bike pivots. MAX bearings excel by providing a 35-40% increase in load capacity compared to standard radial bearings. This is achieved through a specialized design that maximizes the number of balls (full-complement) within the bearing, utilizing a custom ground slot in the races. These bearings also feature deeper race grooves, offering enhanced lateral support to counteract twisting and multi-directional forces commonly encountered in mountain bike pivots.
The MAX-type ABEC-3 bearing, coated with Black-Oxide for added durability, showcases deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals. These components ensure maximum protection against environmental elements while retaining the 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease. The Black-Oxide/Magnetite coating adds an extra layer of corrosion resistance, extending the bearing's worry-free performance.
This bearing has been widely adopted as a suspension pivot bearing by several bicycle brands and has found use in pedals manufactured by Burgtec.
The Enduro range of bearings offers options in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. Our bearings consistently prioritize the deepest groove races feasible to accommodate larger balls and integrate dual-lip seals maneuvering within micro-grooves, forming a complete labyrinth for superior protection against environmental elements.
